At Stable Vehicle Storage we are proud to offer to market this 2001 (51) Mercedes Benz SL500 Silver Arrow Edition. Having covered just 44,000 miles from new by its two owners it is in outstanding condition. First registered on September 1st 2001, this Silver Arrow was registered to a lady keeper for the first 16 years of it's life. Then in 2017, the current keeper made purchase, and has used it lightly since, however has spent a vast amount of money improving the car mechanically and visually to bring it to the superb standard it is offered in today. With just 100 ever built for the UK, this really is a rare opportunity to acquire this modern classic.
EXTERIOR
As part of the Silver Arrow model, one specific highlight is the paintwork. Finished in Silver Arrow metallic, it is complemented by 18" split rim 'two piece' alloy wheels, which are also part of the 'Silver Arrow' special edition. The whole exterior presents in superb order, as you would expect for a car with such low mileage.
A real stand-out feature is the glass hardtop for this car. This allow plenty of light into the cabin and makes for a really airy feel in the interior, but this can be easily removed and stored at home, because when the sun is shining, the black soft top also hides in the rear of the car.
INTERIOR
The interior is just as special as the exterior, with very little signs of wear. It comprises of a black and silver leather throughout the cabin, and the drivers seat is in great condition, as can be seen in the photographs. The centre console has 'Silver Arrow' denoted on a small storage area sitting just below controls for the factory fitted climate control, radio, 6 CD changer and the cassette player. There is also machine finished aluminium trim on the instrument panel and 'Birds Eye Maple' on the centre console which make the interior very special.
MECHANICALS
With a 5L V8 and a smooth 5 speed automatic gearbox, this SL500 provides ample power for enjoyment, but is still extremely well refined. It has a comprehensive history file and service history, being serviced regularly between main dealer and specialist. The car is due a major service and will therefore be sold with a fresh service stamp from our local Mercedes Main Dealer. It has very recently just passed a MOT with 0 advisories, and would make a great addition for any collector, or enthusiast who really wants to enjoy some quality roof down motoring.
