First registered on the 24th April 2009, it has covered just 23,200 miles from new, and has been cared for by its 2 previous owners, and is now offered in the superb condition it is in today.
EXTERIOR
Finished in Santorini Black, this SVX has been very tastefully modififed to give a more aggressive look, removing all of the silver trims in favour of high gloss black finished KBX grilles and upgraded headlight clusters.
The car is fitted with aftermarket alloys to complete the sporty look that are then wrapped in BFGoodrich offload tyres with white text. Behind the satin black alloys are huge Alcon disc brakes with a metallic silver calliper. The 2.4l Diesel engine has been tweaked to produce better performance as well as work to the suspension which has majorly improved handling and steering feel. This is simply as good as a Defender gets for driving dynamic feel. All of this extensive work has been carried about by reputable Land Rover specialist Twisted.
The rear has also been converted to accommodate two rear seats with belts, by relocating the spare wheel to the rear of the vehicle which gives the classic Defender look. Multiple covers have been designed and tailored specifically for the vehicle by its current keeper, however all other works were completed by the previous owner.
INTERIOR
The interior of the SVX is a nice place to be, with Land Rover branded Recaro front seats, which are heated. The steering wheel has been changed to the very commonly found smaller Momo wheel which makes manoeuvrability easier. The head unit has been upgraded to a fold out Pioneer unit, as well as the speakers which are now Focal, that are also fitted in the rear of the vehicle which are of course waterproof speakers.
This really is an exceptional example of a very rare car as there is believed to be only 300 Soft Top’s ever produced.
