The car was first registered in April 2008 and has covered 3,100 miles from new in the hands of one prior keeper, it is now available today in truly outstanding condition.
Exterior
Finished in ‘Burgundy’, the paintwork on the car is in superb condition.
Evident in the history file, both owners have had detailing treatments carried out on the car as well as Paint Protection Film applied to the front bumper and nose, which has helped to preserve the condition of this example .
It is fitted with 20inch 5 spoke alloys which are a 2 piece split rim design, all of which are unmarked. All 4 Pirelli tyres are in excellent condition with plenty of remaining tread. The ‘Flying B’ radiator mascot is present on the bonnet which is retractable if desired. The pillar-less design of the Brooklands is a stunning and elegant design that must be seen to be appreciated.
Interior
The interior comprises of main ‘Oatmeal’ hide, and a secondary Burgundy’ hide leather combination, with trim inlays specified in a rare finish of Dark Burr Walnut. The interior presents as you would expect for a car with such low mileage with virtually no sign of wear whatsoever. It is a completely unmodified example with the original stereo and navigation system installed, paired to a Naim for Bentley Hi-Fi. There are modern creatures comforts such as automatic headlamps as well as a multifunction steering wheel with cruise control.
Stepping into the car, the ‘Bentley Brooklands’ inscribed sill covers still retain their original factory plastic protection on both sides, which Is a testament to how the owners have cared for this example.
Originally specified and registered for a Mr Grieve in Scotland, this car was serviced annually by the supplying dealer in his ownership until his sad passing. After his passing the car was rarely used and covered minimal mileage other than for annual MOT tests to retain road worthiness, until being sold to its current keeper in 2021. It has since been serviced by Bentley Specialists and will receive a fresh service and MOT upon sale.
The Brooklands was produced with the infamous Bentley 6.75litre petrol making 529bhp and 774lb-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic ZF transmission, with a sport mode available to hold the gears for dynamic driving and manual gear changing if required. The car is supplied with an extraordinary history file, soft car cover and genuine Bentley trickle charger. This is a one-off opportunity to acquire a collector grade low mileage example, directly from a serial Bentley enthusiast and collector, who is an active member of the Rolls Royce and Bentley Enthusiasts Club. Recently a modern tracking device has been installed in the car which is compliant with insurance requirements. Bentley initially were due to build 550 examples of the Brooklands however, It is believed that only 426 were actually delivered with the majority being left hand drive, and only 105 in right-hand drive.
